Solidshop core ships with the basics: a percentage or fixed-amount discount that triggers on cart total. The Discount & Coupons plugin adds seven more conditions, five more actions and a visual AND/OR rule builder through Joomla's standard event system. Your campaigns can now answer real questions: "Free shipping if cart subtotal > $100 AND customer is in the VIP user group AND this is their first order."
Stacking is configurable per rule. Mark a promotion exclusive and it becomes the only discount on the order — no accidental coupon-on-coupon margin holes. Bulk coupon generation produces hundreds of unique codes in one click for influencer campaigns, magazine inserts, or partner promotions.

BOGO (buy one, get one)
Classic buy-X-get-Y promotions with configurable buy and get quantities and a percentage off the cheapest "get" units. Count units across the whole cart or on a single product.
Tiered pricing
Spend-based price breaks: spend $50 for 5% off, $100 for 10% off, $200 for 15% off. A single rule with a table of cart-total thresholds — the highest one reached wins.
Free items & gifts
Make a chosen product free when conditions are met — "Free tote bag with every order over $75". Pick the product (or variant) and quantity; its price comes off the order once the customer adds it to the cart. The cart and product pages tell the shopper they have earned it and link straight to the item, so the offer never goes unclaimed.
Shipping discounts
Take a percentage or a fixed amount off shipping instead of the cart subtotal, capped at the rate the shopper actually picks. Checkout strikes through the original cost, and the order, confirmation email, account page and invoice all carry a separate Shipping discount line — conditional free shipping at last, properly.
SKU & SKU-quantity conditions
Match exact SKUs, or require N units of a SKU before the discount fires. Useful for bundle promotions where the customer must have the right combination of items.
Category, customer-group, location
Match by product category, customer's Joomla user group, or shipping address country/state. Build campaigns like "10% off Apparel for EU customers in the 'Newsletter' group".
Purchase-history rules
Target first-time buyers, customers with $1k+ lifetime spend, or anyone who has bought a specific product before. Welcome offers, loyalty promotions and cross-sells in one place.
Nested rule groups (AND / OR)
Build complex eligibility logic with nested AND/OR groups in the visual rule builder. "(Cart > $50 AND VIP) OR (Cart > $200)" — expressible without code.
Exclusive stacking
Mark a rule exclusive and it is the only discount applied to the order — if several exclusive rules qualify, the highest priority wins. Or cap the number of discounts per order. No more unintended stacking where two coupons sum to a 100% discount.
Bulk coupon generation
Generate up to 500 unique coupon codes per run for influencer campaigns, print inserts, partner referrals, or trade-show give-aways. Optional prefix, copy all or export to CSV.
Product-level scope
"20% off all T-shirts" should not take 20% off the whole order. Switch a percentage, fixed or tiered discount to product level and it is calculated only on the cart items your SKU and category rules match — not the full subtotal.
Tax follows the discount
BOGO, free-item and fixed-price discounts report the exact cart lines they came off, so tax is recalculated on the amount the customer really pays. A product given away by a promotion carries no tax — not a rounding note in your VAT return.
